This 18-hour program provides CHWs with the knowledge and skills to best serve their patients who struggle with various behavioral health conditions as well as techniques to support themselves through this work. This program has been broken down into three main topic areas: trauma, mental health, and substance use. Participants can receive up to 30 CE credits for their participation in this training series.
Mental Health: January 6th & 8th
Trauma: January 20th & 22nd
Substance Use: January 27th & 29th
All sessions are from 9am to 12:30pm.
For these cohorts, health centers will receive stipends to offset the cost of productivity while their staff attends these trainings. For each CHW who successfully completes the entire training program, their center will receive a $1,500 stipend.
Each health center can send a max of 4 CHWs to these trainings to allow for multiple centers to benefit. If there are additional CHWs on your team that you would like to be considered if space allows, please email chwinitiatives@massleague.org
If you are interested in this opportunity but are unable to attend either of these training cohorts, please contact the League’s CHW team for us to add you to a waitlist for future sessions.
