MassLeague Intimate Partner Violence Webinar: Creating & Sustaining Community Partnerships

This webinar will guide participants through practical strategies for building strong, lasting partnerships with DV providers across Massachusetts. Attendees will learn how to confidently initiate contact with local DV organizations, approach partnership building in a trauma‑informed and culturally responsive way and establish communication that supports survivors and strengthens communities. The session will also explore best practices for maintaining these relationships over time, ensuring that partnerships remain active, reciprocal, and effective.

Participants will gain an overview of the specialized DV resources available throughout Massachusetts, including providers that serve specific populations, local programs, and regional organizations offering tailored support. This information will help professionals deepen referral networks and better connect individuals to the services they need.

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Learn effective approaches for establishing relationships with local DV organizations.
  • Implement strategies for sustaining long-term, collaborative connections.
  • Identify local programs in your area and recognize specialized culturally specific DV resources in Massachusetts, including statewide and regional providers.

Presenter: This webinar will be led by Mirian Amaya (she/they), the Prevention and Education Manager at Jane Doe Inc., the Massachusetts coalition against sexual and domestic violence. She has over 7 years of experience in the field, working in roles that span direct service advocacy, crisis response, and professional training. Mirian specializes in equipping providers with the tools to recognize, respond to, and prevent partner abuse, with a focus on trauma-informed care and culturally responsive approaches across diverse communities.
