“Above all, be the heroine of your life, not the victim.” — Nora Ephron
Feel Strong. Be Aware. Stay Empowered.
The Women’s ERG invites you to join us for a Personal Safety & Self-Defense Workshop designed to build confidence, increase awareness, and provide practical skills you can carry with you every day.
Led by the Vanessa T. Marcotte Foundation, this fun, active, and participatory workshop will introduce realistic self-defense techniques while helping you strengthen your situational awareness and learn strategies for responding to uncomfortable or confrontational situations.
This isn't about being the strongest person in the room. It's about feeling more prepared, trusting your instincts, understanding your options, and discovering just how capable you are.
All fitness and experience levels are welcome—no previous self-defense experience is needed.
Dress Comfortably!
Because this is an active, hands-on workshop, we encourage everyone to dress casually and comfortably. Athletic or workout attire and comfortable sneakers are recommended, as you’ll be moving around and practicing self-defense techniques during the session. Come dressed and ready to participate!
